How does the reboot command on Linux reboot HW?

What steps does the reboot command perform?

Our customer is using PSDK Linux 08.06.00.42 and eMMC boot by the reboot command fails on their custom board. They want to know it for debugging.

By the way, SD card boot by the reboot command works fine on their custom board. SD card boot and eMMC boot by the reboot command works fine on SK EVM board.

If the AM62x is reset by the reboot command, which reset source is used?

What does the failure look like? Does the UART console print any U-Boot message after the Linux reboot command and Linux shutdown messages?

Referring to the SK-AM62B-P1 schematics, please ensure on the custom board that

1. the AM62x RESETSTATz pin is connected to the eMMC RSTn pin;
2. and the eMMC RSTn pin is enabled for reset. Please refer to the following instruction.
