PROCESSOR-SDK-AM64X: MCSPI 3pin mode example

in 3 pin mode do we lost of control of CS line, or we can toogle it like standard gpio? force CS either high or low.

for sure, but please menstion also:   since that cs0 pin is free, you can use pinmux config to mode 7 , it will be treated as gpio1_42.

I am mentioning, not asking.  but I reviewed your MCSPI Intergration guide, this one is too basic, it might not useful for customized board. 


Suggestion:



If you can make a excel sheet, or table about register combination will be  a  plus.


IN TRM, there are a lot of MCSPI modes. 
1. force enbits mode, how to config. 
2. turbo mode. 
3. start bit mode.    


Table1 specific config for each mode.  register table

eg:  MCSPI_CHCONF_0    bit 19 is turbo mode.   

Table 2 common config. 

eg:  clock can be extended, data input (edge) can be aligned with clock start edge.

MCSPI_CHCONF_1   TCS0     0 means 0.5 clock cycle,  1 means 1.5 clock cycle


common config will apply to all specific config. for each mode.

yes for sure. 

Take a look at TRM chapter 12.1.4.4.3.*    * is integer.  1 to 10. 

Each mode will have a combination of register settings.
