OMAP-L138: Boot issues from NAND Flash on 8bit bus.

Part Number: OMAP-L138

Tool/software:

Hello forum

Our company developed years ago a measuring device based on OMAP-L138 where the main system memory is a 8bit bus 1Gbit NAND flash. This system has a serial Flash to boot, and the used NAND flash is Micron MT29F1G08ABADAWP IT.

Lately we modified this project and developed a simpler version. On this new device we removed the Serial Flash, and the board should boot from the NAND. The used memory on the new board is Micron MT29F1G08ABAEAH4:E.

The issue we are facing that we cannot boot from the NAND in the new board. Modifiying the eraly board in the same condition as the new one (removing the Serial Flash, setting the BOOT jumpers in the approrpiate way, ect) the old board boot properly from the NAND flash.

Somebody faced similar issue? We notice the "Faeture set" difference between the 2 NAND's, the old board mounts a NAND with Feature Set = D, and the new one uses a NAND with Feature Set = E. Can be this and issue? In the NAND flash datsheet we cannot find any explanation on this.
