TDA4VM: Hardware Interface Support for TUSB1046

Part Number: TDA4VM

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are working on a TDA4VM processor, we are building our customized board. We want to interface TUSB1046 IC for display and USB application.
Here I am attaching the proposed connection diagram for your reference.
As you can see in the connection diagram, we are using the SERDES_2 block for USB connections. Where we are thinking of using RX0,TX0 pair for TUSB1046 and other RX1,TX1 pair on to USB Type A Connector.
We also wanted to verify whether this configuration is feasible or not. If it is feasible, we would like to know about the OS customization requirements to bring up the circuit.

  • Hi Aditya,

I have requested our H/W Apps Support engineer to look at the feasiblity of your connections.

    regards

    Suman

  • I assume DisplayPort is source from SERDES4 (OK).  SERDES2 lane1 maps to USB1 instance (matches USB1 DP, DM signals).  This is OK.  The issue with with the USB connection to the TUSB1046 device is SERDES2 lane0 also maps to USB1 instance.  Cannot use since already reserved for USB connector interface.   Need to use USB0 instance for the TUSB1046 connection - available on SERDES0 or SERDES3.
