PRD Object not finished in time for next Tick

Hi,

We experience an unexpected Reboot and suspect PRD Object not being finished when next Tick arrive, but are not sure that this could be the root cause, please advice.

Reference: PRD i CCS(3.1), set i DSP/BIOS - Multi Threaded Systems manual: 
"All PRD_obj functions  must complete within ONE system (PRD) tick" ,  (1 tick = 1ms) . 

        1. Why must PRD_obj be finished within "1 tick"?
        2. What physically happens if this is not respected - e.g 1ms is passed. Will the system lock-up, will there be "stack overflow"???
