Hi
Kernel 5.10 based on SDK8.6 has the following error when using the rndis driver. My device tree is configured with a USB slave device, and this phenomenon will not occur through the USB hub.The computer uses the rndis driver from Acer Incorporated. How can I solve this problem. Is there any ti‘s rndis driver for win10?
thanks
Hi,
The kernel log shows error in the rndis gadget driver, which is not relevant to TI platforms. It is out of the support scope on this forums.
Hi bin
Environment:SK-AM62, sdk08.6 default-image, typec-drp
When my windows is connected, the Acer driver can recognize the rndis driver, but after turning on the network adapter, windows will restart with a blue screen or freeze, and the Linux board will display the following prompt.
I saw that the forum provides rndis startup for am335x and am4xx, but I don’t know if there is an rndis driver for am62.
Hi,
Though it is TI released SDK, the kernel is an open source project, most of its code, including this rndis gadget driver, is not TI platform specific, and we don’t support.
When my windows is connected, the Acer driver can recognize the rndis driver
What your windows is connected to? Not SK-AM62 board usb0 port?
r, but after turning on the network adapter
What is this network adapter? You suppose to connect the SK-AM62 usb0 port directly to your windows computer usb port. Nothing is in the middle.
hi bin
I use the usb0 of sk-evm to connect directly to windows, and the network adapter is the network card management in windows.
Hi,
Thanks for the clarification.
Again, this is out of the support scope on this forums. Please ask the kernel open source community.
You might also want to test with latest AM62x SDK 10.0 to see if kernel v6.6 still has the problem.
