AM3359: RGMII 1Gbps not able to Ping

Hi Team,

I am using AM3359 TI processor connected to two DP83869 PHY both with RGMII -1000MBPS configurations.

I am able to perform auto negotiation and ping at 1000MBPS speed in U-boot level but i am unable to perform ping from linux level at 1000MBPS
but I am able to configure both PHYs in 100MBPS and able to ping successfully from linux.

I have tried changing the dts file still there is no change in ping results

Can you please help me resolve this issue?

Hi,

I am out of the office this week. Sounds like you have basic ethernet working. Please refer to the link below about basic ethernet debug. There is section about network topologies, are both ports plugged into the same switch? Please note the section at the end regarding some information we will need to assist with debug.

Thanks for the reply.

We were able to resolve the issue after adding rx delay in dts file as shown below

&cpsw_emac0 { /* eth sw port */
phy_id = <&davinci_mdio>, <12>;
dual_emac_res_vlan = <0x1>;
phy-mode = "rgmii-rxid";
