Hi expert

I using J722S EVM to test wayland enviroment with SD card in EVM toolkit is OK.

Now, i need to build our enviroment, so i reburn SD card with prebuild file. Then using modetest command , but result is

I found similar ticket in E2E, and using AM67A SDK: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM67A can run modetest command.

Now my question is how to build SD card in EVM can let me run modetest in linux, thanks a lot.

Hi Herry,

There are two sets of display drivers: RTOS driver and Linux driver. The two different SDKs and prebuilt images use different drivers, of which details are here: https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-am67a/10_00_00/exports/edgeai-docs/devices/AM67A/linux/faq.html

There should be a uEnv.txt file in the boot partition, but delete the line that says "name_overlays=ti/...vision-apps.dtbo". This should give control of display back to Linux instead of RTOS and allow usage of modetest.
