TDA4VM: TDA4VM ISP Tuning LDC question

Part Number: TDA4VM

Tool/software:

Hi TI,

I am currently using TDA4VM and otobrite IMX390 camera to do LDC Tuning.

The SDK version I use is 9.2.0.5, and the DCC Tool uses 3.2 version.

I can use the DCC tool to do live tuning and see the changes in the image on the monitor. But when I used the DCC tool to save the image(yuv), I found that it was completely different from the image displayed on the monitor. The saved image looked unchanged. I would like to ask you to tell me the reason and help me solve this problem, thank you.

On the left is the yuv saved with the DCC tool after live tuning, and on the right is the image after live tuning seen on the monitor.

It's normal for the image distortion to look weird because I wasn't using the correct distortion table. I just want to confirm that I can use LDC to make changes to the image.

  • Hi Jiarong,

Tuning tool captures the YUV image output from VISS which has not been processed by LDC yet.

The displayed image on EVM may have been processed by LDC/MSC.

If you use the single-cam app, you may press the "s" key to save the LDC output image on your SD card on EVM.
