AM620-Q1: Facing issue while connecting the XDS110 debug probe to the custom AM620-Q1 board.

Hello TI team,

I am trying to connect my debugger to the board and using 10 pin connector to perform the same activity but, we are getting this error:

And, we are using JTAG_TCK, JTAG_TMS, JTAG_TDI, JTAG_TDO, JTAG_TRST with V_REF and 4 GND Pins. When we tried to connect the board and probed the TCK the clock come for some Milliseconds and keeps that pin high.

What pins should be used for making this connection successful ?

What should be the state of those pins ?

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Can you please tell which bootmode are you using?

Is the SOC initialized properly with SBL binaries before connecting to cores?

Hi,

Currently I am using OSPI Boot mode.

SBL binaries are already flashed in board already.

Do I need to bring the board in initial flashing mode of this binaries then it will be connected ?

Hi,

The issue seen above is very common and can be avoided by power cycle the board and reconnecting the JTAG cable.

Please refer TROUBLESHOOT_ISSUES for details.

Can you confirm are you able to see the boot logs?

Can you please share screenshot of boot logs?

Hi Tushar,

We have tried this troubleshooting on our Custom board but we are not able to connect our target to debugger.

Currently we are using 20 to 10 pin connector to connect the board.

I need to understand connection to be used on 10 Pin JTAG connector with debugger

Please provide 10 Pin - JTAG connector details to make successful handshake between the target and debugger.

Which pins/Signals to be pulled-up and pulled-down?

Please refer the section 2.6.7 JTAG interface of the User Guide to know the Pin details.

Table 2-7 JTAG Connector Pin Out of User guide will tell you the details of each pin.
