Boundary Scan C6727B Not Entering

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6727B

I have a C6727B which is entering into Emulation Mode using Wintech USB Pod and Code Composer Studio

BUT

It is not entering into Boundary Scan Mode using a different POD and Tool [ From XJTAG]

My question is what is the correct sequencing of JTAG pins and nRESET for the C6727B to enter into Boundary Scan Mode

[USING THE SAME POD AND TOOL[XJTAG] I AM ABLE TO DO BOUNDARY SCAN TESTING OF ANOTHER TI DSP -- F2812]

Eagerly expecting a solution from somebody

Thanks in advance

  • Rathnasabapathy,

Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages. Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others have asked on similar topics.

If you go to the TMS320C6727B Product Folder (click the red link or search TI.com for the C6727B), click on Technical Documents. Under Application Notes, you will find the C6727B Hardware Design Guide. Search that for "boundary scan" to find information on pin configurations required for entering boundary scan.

If the correct configuration of the DSP does not help you with entering Boundary Scan mode, please contact the provider of the JTAG pod and the software to see if they support this device.

    Regards,
    RandyP
