Hi,

While migrating from BIOS5 in CCS3.3 to BIOS 6 under CCS4.2.2, I have been in trouble with follwoing issue for weeks without answers found from all available datasheets in TI's website. So really apprecoate your help!

1.In BIOS5, functions like bios.HWI.instance("HWI_NMI").fxn=prog.extern("EXC_dispatch_mod") will hook ISR "EXC_dispatch_mod" to the NMI interrupt, but now how this should be implemented in BIOS6中？

2. How to implement functions in BISO6 like bios.GBL.CALLUSERINITFXN=1;bios.GBL.USERINITFXN=prog.extern("isr") in BIOS5？

3. As you can see, I am trying to use BIOS exception dispatcher to handle sw exception. Are there any example code available for the c66x silicons like Nyquist?

We are using the TMS320TCI6618 based on C66x ISA.

On question #2 about startup functions, there are a few different places where you could insert what was your DSP/BIOS 5.x "init" function. You can read about the overall startup process of a SYS/BIOS application in Section 3.1 of the SYS/BIOS User's Guide (docs directory). A more device-specific detailed version is here:

Yes, this is for the C28xx family, but we unfortunately are still working on a C6x version; however, this is close enough that you can use the same approaches described. The basically equivalent approach to the DSP/BIOS way could be done via the GUI in CCS/Eclipse or via the script code below:

var BIOS = xdc.useModule("ti.sysbios.BIOS");

BIOS.startupFxns[BIOS.startupFxns.length++] = "&myStartupFxn";
