AM62P-Q1: AM62P: Can frame freeze detection be supported on Linux OS based on SDK 10.0?

Hi,

Nothing prevents customers from porting frame freeze to Linux OS. We don't support the feature out of box because open source frameworks do not support frame freeze feature. For example, the DRM framework which is tighlty coupled with DSS, does not have hooks for supporting frame freeze. If we write a custom code, there will not be any path for open source and the code would need to be migrated every release. Hence, we made the decision to not support the feature in Linux.

Since the Linux display framework DRM does not support frame freeze detection, TI decided not to support this feature in Linux, right?

In theory, it is possible to develop a frame freeze detection function in Linux, but it should be a custom code , right?

Sorry we don't have any plans for implementing in Linux. The best approach would be to take the code from MCU+ SDK and try to port to Linux.
