AM625: about am625 eeprom

Part Number: AM625

Tool/software:

Hello

When I was using am62 sk evm's eeprom based on SDK 8.6, I encountered unsuccessful writing using i2cset. Why is this? How can I write data? Why is it that when using i2cdump to view, the default mode b cannot be used to view eeprom?

  • Hello,

Apologies for the delayed response. On the TI forums, we can answer questions specifically about TI hardware or TI software. However, we are unable to answer generic Linux questions, like "how do I write to an EEPROM from a Linux processor?". You will need to look for answers elsewhere on the web.

When I searched on google with a search like "Linux terminal how to write to EEPROM" there were plenty of answers on different websites. Craig McQueen's response on this page, for example, even uses another TI processor, the AM335x BeagleBone Black: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29932003/reading-and-writing-eeprom-via-i2c-with-linux Note that I haven't verified any of the information on that page, I am just providing it as an example.

    Regards,

    Nick
