Hi,

what is the max value of the series resistor I can connect to input GPAIN0??

Hi Rakesh,

You will have to choose the series resistance based on the allowed input voltage and current on GPAIN0. From the C5515 datasheet, input limits are -0.3V to 3.6V and 4mA.

Hi,

Doesnt it have anything to do with speed of operation??? Is it track and hold or sample and hold...... Wont a higher value of series resistance affect the sample and hold property??

Sorry that i havnt clarified my application ... I am using the pins as ADC inputs ... I want to know the max value of series resistance that can be connected to this pin in such a way that it wont affect the speed factor....

Rakesh,

No, I do not suppose it should have any significant effect on the sampling speed. The SAR takes 32 cycles for conversion irrespective of the level of the signal being sampled.
