From custoer: I am looking for info on how the DM8147 can be connected to drive a 24b (RGB888), TFT, LCD display. Is a direct connection possible?

    Adam,

    This is a bit of a vague question to be honest, and depends really on the particular LCD panel in question.

    If the LCD panel accepts CMOS level parallel inputs, then yes. If the panel is a higher resolution that uses LVDS signalling then an LVDS serializer is needed.

    Have a look at the following Wiki page for some additional information. This Wiki was originally written for OMAP3, but is very much appropriate to the DM81xx devices.
