Programming Flash on AM1808 EVM based board with Micron NAND Flash MT29F2G01AAAED

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808

I am getting started bringing up a custom AM1808 board with Micron NAND Flash MT29F2G01AAAED. I need to program uboot into the flash.

- What tools should I use to program this.

- Is this flash device supported.

Thanks,

Nathan

  • Nathan:

Is that part number a typo?  According to Micron part naming that would be a 2Gbit (256MB) device with a 1-bit data interface.

We support 8 and 16-bit interface to NAND.

  • That is not a typo the link is here:

    http://www.micron.com/products/ProductDetails.html?product=products/nand_flash/serial_nand/MT29F2G01AAAEDH4

This is a large block flash device.

The next-generation NAND flash part numbering system shows this:

    http://download.micron.com/pdf/numbering/numngnand.pdf

So it looks like this device is not supported...
