Hi,

I am using the AM62P Starter Kit Evaluation Module (Part No: SK-AM62P-LP).

I flashed the Linux WIC image (tisdk-default-image-am62pxx-evm.wic.xz) downloaded from the link below:

I also ensured the proper boot mode switch settings for the SD card (SW5 & SW4) before testing.

Once the board was powered on, I successfully established Ethernet connectivity.

Now, I would like to integrate the AM62P with the WIFI/BTM.2 Module Key E (Part No: 2AE M.2 Module).

Hi Dharshini,

We have not tested the 2AE M.2 module on AM62P. However, you can sample TI M.2 module from here: https://www.ti.com/tool/M2-CC3351

This module supports WiFi 6 and BLE 5.4. We have prebuilt images for the AM62P supporting this module here: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/CC33XX-LINUX-MPU

For using the 2AE M.2 module, you will likely need to modify the am62P DTS and enable the relevant kernel build configurations in the defconfig relevant to the 2AE M.2 module.

Hi Dharshini,

We do not use the 2AE M.2 module within TI because it is not a TI-based chipset, so I can't provide a comprehensive guide.

However, it should still be possible. You would have to first understand the pinout of the module; does it use SDIO? does it require GPIO interrupts? what other GPIO pins does it require? It would be beneficial if the module manufacturer has an example devicetree for you to refer to.

Then you can correlate the same example devicetree to that on the AM62P. As I mentioned, we do have the M2 CC3351, so you can see an example devicetree here. This device is SDIO based so it should be able to translate well to 2AE.
