Hello,

My customer is considering change AM62xx from AM335x.

AM335x is running pure 32-bit Linux(Yocto) OS, but default AM62xx is 64-bit Linux.

Is AM62's Yocto SDK supports 32-bit software enviorment?

(Can we run AM335's software on AM62 without migrating anything?)

Do you have the source code of the AM335x software so that it can be recompiled with 64-bit ARM toolchain?

Thanks for your support.

My customer does not have all source code. (because they use software ODM)

So they want to use compled software with 32-bit ARM toolchain in AM62x Yocto-SDK, in AM62x Yocto-SDK.

GR,

to run 32-bit binaries on AM62x you need to build your filesystem images using a Yocto environment with "multilib" enabled. While the general principle still applies the specifics of the steps are likely slightly different. I haven't tried building "multilib" with the current SDK v10.x yet. But there are some changes/fixes in SDK v10.0 that were reported earlier that will support building for "multilib", see https://github.com/TexasInstruments/meta-tisdk/commit/d1649076b34d3dc9908fce7b6ed19b454aa4c33e

Another way you could run your 32-bit binaries is inside a Docker container; this will help if your binary-only 32-bit application has more dependencies (libraries, etc.)
