Features to be supported in next EZSDK release.

Hi,

I was going through ezsdk 5_02_02_60 and found many of the features like V4l2 captrure, Various display resolutions, Audio Encoding, OpenCV API etc. suitable for my application are not supported in the SDK. From e2e forum I learnt that next ezsdk release will be available in this month (Nov-2011).

Here are my queries:

Is there any consolidated document available which will describe features supported in various release done till now and upcoming one.
Can anyone from TI let me know exactly when I can expect ezsdk release 5.03 and what will be the new features in that release?

Based on that information we would like to decide our road-map, so any help is highly appreciated.

Hi,

We have next EZSDK release coming on 11th Nov followed by another release on 12th Dec.

Release coming on 11th Nov will support the following features

MPEG4 encoder support in addition to H264 encoder support
MPEG4 decoder and VC1 decoder support in addition to MPEG2 dec and H264 decoder
AAC-LC audio encoder support

V4L2 capture will be available in Dec release. We have no plans to suppport OpenCV APIs, this was descoped.

Thanks for the information. Somehow can I get Beta release for V4l2 capture in this month?

Hi,

No, it is not possible for provide early drop, V4L2 capture is long pole for Dec 9th release.
