CCSTUDIO: "device" and "package" in sysconfig will be modified automatically sometimes

Hi Champs,

Customer is using TMS320F28388D.

When F28388D is configured with sysconfig, the device  and customer sometimes changes automatically, what should customer do to avoid this? Several of the customer's engineers were experiencing the same problem.

Sometimes the package changes, from 337-pin to 176-pin.
Sometimes the CCS launch device changes from 28388D to 28384D.

I recommend that customer copy the sysconfig generated file separately into their project, but CCS will report an error after the build. Do we have a guide on how to copy the sysconfig generated file into the project? Is there anything I need to add?

    Hi Julia, 

    Could you clarify which version of CCS is being used. Also, SDK version and if customer project is based on an example from SDK? 

    Also, if you would be able to describe in more detail customer actions to reproduce the issue.

    When a project is used in CCS then device information will be provided to SysConfig command line during project build in CCS. Is it possible that there is a discrepancy in device setting between what is set in SyConfig file vs what is set in CCS project?
