AM5716: Do AM57 support GPT partition for EMMC boot and SD boot?

Tool/software:

I want to double check if AM57 support GPT partition table for EMMC and SD boot, from TRM it only describe MBR partition table.

We did some test that we change the table to GPT, we can also boot the board and everything goes well.

So here I want to double check if there are any side effect about our change?

We change this file in SDK cmd.sh, change the 'msdos' to 'gpt'.

Hello Zekun,

I am not sure that we test this on our side so I will check internally. Glad to hear this is functional.

Historically it seems like our ROM team has previously confirmed that this is not supported and we cannot guarantee functionality.

I will send an inquiry to ROM team to confirm the support in AM57x, it is my speculation that if this was supported it would be mentioned in the TRM. Please expect delays since as of next week the majority of the teams in US will be out until the new year.
