Hi Sir,

PHY DP83TG721x-Q1 is connected to MCU_RGMII1_XX in our product.

How to create a MCU_CPSW for DP83TG721x-Q1 in the A72 u-boot and linux ?

We can NOT find MCU_CPSW after executing mdio list in the A72 u-boot.

Our PDK version is 10_00_00.

One more question, PHY DP83TG721x-Q1 is connected to MCU_RGMII1_XX. Where do we need to development DP83TG721x-Q1 phy driver? In A72 ? or in R5 of MCU domaon ?

Hi,

When you want MCU CPSW2G from u-boot, you need to have phy driver enabled and available at u-boot.

If not available, you need develop phy driver at u-boot running on A72.

And can you provide a guide how to develop phy driver at linux running on A72 ?

Also, refer to app note for integration of phy driver into kernel.

In case of u-boot config file for enabling the PHY driver is "j721s2_evm_a72_defconfig" from "Linux-SDK/board-support/ti-u-boot-xx/configs/j721s2_evm_a72_defconfig"

Run below commands for building u-boot and Linux from SDK folder.

U-boot build command is
# make u-boot

Linux build command is
# make linux

Command to build device tree after updating cpsw mac port in Linux.
# make linux-dtbs
