hello,I have a project using TDA4VL's SOC, SDK version is 8.5, and an exception occurs during IPC initialization, which can be stably reproduced..Please help us investigate the cause.

The log printed by the SOC in normal use is as follows

As shown in the figure above, MCU2_0 runs to (IPC: HLOS is ready !!!) and then stops.

    Are you using vision apps IPC on MCU2_0 ? Are you communicating between linux and MCU2_0?

    Can you check by connecting to CCS where exactly the hang in MCU2_0 is after "HLOS ready" log?

    Hi,

    This is our mass-produced product, and we did not reserve a JTAG interface on it. Currently, we cannot modify the circuit. Are there any other ways to determine its current status? We will also evaluate the option of soldering a JTAG interface.

    The C7x logs seems to be fine here.

    The issue from the above is that the MCU2_0 IPC_init is not done.

    Can you add additional logs after HLOS ready, to track the issue?

    Also are there memory modifications in your case?

    Hi,

    Since this is a mass-produced product, I can't update its program at the moment.

    Could a memory exception cause MCU2_0 to hang at this position? This device has been running for two years, so it shouldn't be a memory allocation issue.

    I found in the Linux-side log that it didn't perform the announce operation. Could there be any exceptions causing MCU2_0 to hang during this process?

    Additionally, I noticed that the data written to shared memory at address B8000780 by MCU1_0 cannot be read by MCU2_0. Is there any correlation between these issues?

    In my expectation, MCU2_0 should report the three remote IDs 0xd 0x19 0x15 to Linux

    However, only rpmsg host is online was found on the abnormal device

    In the above, have you disabled MCU2_1?

    May I know what is the boot flow here and who is loading the firmwares? Is it u-boot?

    Can you attach the full logs for good case as well?

    Yes, I disabled MCU2_1.

    We load the following three programs from SPL and finally start Linux.

    You had shared the logs for error scenario. 

    Is there a good scenario in which the R5 does not get stuck? Can you share the full linux logs for this case?
