Question about C6000 mcbsp configured as UART

Hi,

Now I want to configure the MCBSP as UART based on the spra633c, and there is a question need your great help.

The MCBSP DX output level is low, while the UART output level is high, I want to know whether it is need to add an inverter to connect the MCBSP with the UART.

The McBSP output levels will depend entirely on the data that you're sending to the UART. You should be able to modify the data in software rather then adding an inverter. Are you referring to the voltage levels of the IO signal or the actual data values transmitted?

If you are planning on connecting the MCBSP UART interface to an RS232 serial port then you will need to add an RS232 driver/receiver component similar to the one shown in section 5 of the application note. Be sure that the RS232 driver/receiver supports the IO voltage level that is used by the MCBSP interface. The SN75LV4737 shown in the application note will work with a 5V or 3.3V MCBSP interface. If you have a 1.8V MCBSP interface you will need to choose a different RS232 driver/receiver from one of the many available from TI.
