TDA4VE-Q1: Could TDA4VE(TDA4VMeco) support 2nd DSI output?

Hi Expert,

Brijesh say that the 2^nd DSI can be supported on TDA4VH but TDA4VE can’t do the test.

For TDA4VH 2^nd DSI, it will be there between 10.1 and 10.2

Let me confirm again “TDA4VE can’t do the test”.

Does it mean that TDA4VE(TDA4VMeco) does not support 2^nd DSI output?

If yes, are there any differences in hardware related to 2^nd DSI output between TDA4VE and TDA4VH?

But as the following information, 2 DSI interfaces are not supported yet. Please help to check the release schedule of 2^nd DSI.(for j721s2 sdk)

I saw other people asking about TDA4VH-Q1. this feature is planned in the SDK10.1.

Hi Daniel,

ok, let me clarify. Second DSI instance is not yet supported even in SDK10.1. Its not supported on both Linux as well as RTOS driver. Due to other priority issues, we could not enable this feature in the last SDK, which was SDK10.1.

Regarding validation on EVM, both the EVMs TDA4VE and TDA4VH does not support second DSI output, but SoC does support it. So we can enable it in SW drivers, but we can't validate it on EVM.

Please help provide a software driver that enables the second DSI output. We can verify it ourselves on our board, thank you.
