Interrupt controller documentation

Hi,

I'm having some difficulty understanding the structure and the registers associated with the interrupt controller.   The TRM (1.11) says "The DSPSS is used for DSP but not described in detail in this chapter. For detailed information about this module, refer to chapter 7 of the TMS320C674x DSP Megamodule.", which points back to the c674 mega module document, the same one referenced for L138.   Are those registers in that document the same one used in 8148?  Also the device manual mentions the mux for events can be controlled through the DSP_INTMUX_x registers, in the control module.   This is the same control module with the missing section 4.1 also in the device manual, so I'm not sure what this looks like (figure 1-105 is fairly general).   Does it behave and hooked up identically as L138?

Will there be another revision of the 8148 TRM coming out?   I'm doing a lot of driver work in a compressed time frame and need to rip through some porting.

Thanks,
Matt

  • Matt,

We do not have the Control Module chapter completed yet. It is a work in progress and will be included in the next release of the TRM, which we do not have a release date for yet.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Senthil,

I have another thread (http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/716/t/145513.aspx) where I ask about how to set dmtimer clock sources to their various settings - I believe this is done in the Control Module according to the documentation.

If this part of the documentation is not available, can you give me specific guidance on how to set all of the DMTImer clock sources and any other timer related settings in that section?

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Hi,

Just cleaning up my threads.  I have found a workaround here.  Thanks.
