Ethernet on AM3517EVM with Android GingerBread

That's exactly my problem. When I do the instruction "#netcfg eth0 dhcp" it's execution takes endless. If I stop the instruction by ctrl+c and do the instruction again it works. What can be the problem for that?

In the Froyo version this was already implemented in the prebuilt image. Can I simply add this instructions to the init.rc? In the Froyo it was configurable in the menu "Setting/Ethernet configuration" like dns, subnetmask... Is there a way in Gingerbread to have also this menue point under settings? How must it be configured? In Froyo the settings entered in the fields like dns ... are always lost when it is rebootet. Is there a possibility to have them reloaded in Gingerbread?

We too have observed this behaviour and are trying to find the cause for this.

You can try bringing up ethernet like this to avoid doing the Ctrl-C:

# netcfg eth0 up
# netcfg eth0 dhcp

Android does not support ethernet hence you do not find it in the Settings menu.
