66AK2G12: 66AK2G12 support in latest PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX releases

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Tool/software:

Hello,

We are using 66AK2G12 processor for a product development. Our software development is based on processor-sdk-linux-k2g version 06.03.00.106 (latest release):

https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-K2G

The SDK is quite old and we would like to upgrade open-source SW layer to something more recent. Unfortunately, there isn't newer release for K2Gx platform since then. Seems newer SDK releases do not support Keystone I and II processors anymore.

Please help me answer my questions:

  1. What is the reason for deprecating Keystone processors in latest SDKs?
  2. What would be your recommendations to upgrade our SDK? Our target is to use Yocto Scarthgap 5.0 based SDK.

Our idea is to use a Scarthgap config (for example arago-scarthgap-config.txt ) from https://git.ti.com/cgit/arago-project/oe-layersetup/tree/configs. However, such SDK lacks support for K2Gx platforms so how to add it?

Thank you for any help,

Jiri
