AM5716: Can customer configure 5 Mac Port in AM5716?

Tool/software:

Customer are checking if below solution is feasible. Please help to share some ideas.

They are worried about the pin mux resource so they only want to use 5 Mac port.

1. 4 PRU_ICSSG port + 1 CPSW port

2. 2 CPSW port + 2 PRU_ICSSG0 port + 1 PRU_ICSSG1 port

I believe this has already been answered on the previous thread related to this one AM5716: How many Mac AM5716 can give？.

At least for #1.. this is not an issue considering that this is the default setup of the IDK boards.. 4PRU ports + 2 CPSW ports. See the IDK board user guide. Not sure I fully understand #2..
One correction should be clear, these are not ICSSG ports. See PRU Subsystem Features Comparison.

For solution 1, CPSW can just configure 1 port, another one can be configured to another function? right?

Zekun,

This is not necessarily a binary-answer (yes/no) type of question. What application is the configuration needed? eth switch, dual mac etc.
