TDA4VP-Q1: SGMII simulation PASS/FAIL criteria

SGMII RX does not specify an eye mask as such. The RX defines the noise and jitter requirements that are introduced into the channel and the RX should still be able to tolerate it, and still be able to detect the valid pattern.

The above reply unfortunately doesn't answer all of our questions. I'll try to explain.

We want to validate the SGMII interface Signal Integrity by a Time Domain simulation.

For this purpose (when TDA4 acts as Rx), we need:

Rx mask details:

Eye Hight, Eye Width

Probing point (before or after equalizer, if exists)

Could you please provide this data?

For the simulation purpose, I found this app note about the SERDES eye mask table 4-1.

During my validation of the SGMII (1.25GBaud), I had the TX eye mask as follows:

For the RX, the same eye mask was used but the additional impairments were included.
