hi :

we wish to know how to operator the mcu(M4 core) and soc(A53) software warm reset with each other.

refer to 《spruiv7b.pdf》- 6.3.5.2.3 SW_MAIN_WARMRSTz Reset and 6.3.5.2.4 MCU_RESETz Reset， i see these way but dont know how to operator the register, where are these registers address? eg: CTRLMMR_RST_CTRL, where could i find more detial information about these registers?

Hello Xiao,

Sorry for delayed replies.

With the CTRL MMR register (WKUP and MCU) , you can make the SOC SW WamReset.

With the Hw pin, you can make the SOC Hw Warm Reset (you can look at the Datasheet of AM62X for more details about how much time is required to make the pin low ).

Hi Anil:

thank you for these useful message.

now i can reset the soc in mcu side but cant reset mcu in soc side, they will reset both. does the M4F core cannot reset singly?

Hello,

You are correct.

We can't make the MCU core reset alone, and it is not supported by the SOC.

Please look at the above FAQ, and it gives full information about the How SOC Reset behavior in M4F core Isolated and .M4F core is not Isolated from the MAIN domain.
