66AK2H14: latest keystone rapidio driver avaialbility

Hi All,

We are into development of custom 66AK2H14 board based on 6.x Linux kernel, We are looking out for the latest keystone rapidio driver.

We could not find the keystone rapidio driver from the latest TI-supported SDK ie ""k2hk-evm-linux-sdk-src-06.03.00.106.tar.xz"

We also see that from TI git repo git://git.ti.com/keystone-linux/linux.git. But the Linux kernel version being 3.10.72 which is lesser to the SDK linux-version ie linux-4.19.

My question here is that, whether the keystone rapidio driver can be available under the latest SDK version or not? OR the linux-3.10.72 is the latest version for this keystone rapidio driver?

Thanks for your query.

The last TI SDK release for this device/platform was done in Apr 2020 and you can find it here: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-K2HK

See all the release for these platform here: https://www.ti.com/product/66AK2H14#software-development

Please note that there is no plan for new development or new release for this device. So if you are unable to find particular driver, then you have option to implement it yourself or got with some third-party company.

Is it a validated code ? Can we pull the driver from here ?

As you can see from the history (https://git.ti.com/cgit/keystone-linux/linux), the last updates were made 8 years ago. The team who maintained this is not in the company anymore, so it is difficult to comment on your query. So our take is you are free to use it as-is, and we will not give you any support.
