AM5728: Error with ducatih264enc with SDK 9

Tool/software:

we are TI processser SDK 9.02 on AM5728 EVM.

when i try to encode test video with ducatih264enc , it failed with the below error.

please provide your suggestions on this

Hello Leeladhar,

Unfortunately this SW module is no longer supported. Support for it was dropped in SDK 8x as arm codec but not explicitly explained in the release notes: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/08_02_00_04/exports/docs/linux/Release_Specific_PLSDK_Release_Notes.html#release-08-02-00

Furthermore, in the 9.2 release notes we do explicitly mention it is no longer supported: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM57X/09_02_00_133/exports/docs/devices/AM57X/linux/Release_Specific_Release_Notes.html#release-09-02-00

The libdce library that ducatih264enc depended on is no longer supported.

Is there any way so that i can integrate the library in SDK 9.02

Leeladhar,

Unfortunately, the original creators for this library are no longer with TI so the scope of work for this would have to be assumed by you or a competent third party. It would definitely involve a big porting effort and code re-write I imagine.

You can definitely seek for more guidance within the open source communities for G-streamer and Liinux.
