TDA4AL-Q1: MCU_CPSW2G network sharing between MCUSS and Main Domain

Part Number: TDA4AL-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Expert.

TDA4AL support two CPSW2G, one is in "Main domain", and the other is in "MCU domain". Our default SW SDK networking stacks runs on A72 core, but use "MCU domain CPSW 2G" RGMII interface for "external" ethernet networking. here are some question :

Customer's board only design MCU domain CPSW2G RGMII out,

1) Because of "MCU domain CPSW2G RGMII" interface already occupied by A72 core, How does MCUSS (R5) FW access ethernet?

2) Do we have internal virtual networking interface which can bridge "main domain and mcu domain" networking even each one of them do not have real pin out?

Thank You.

  • Hi Gibbs,

Because of "MCU domain CPSW2G RGMII" interface already occupied by A72 core, How does MCUSS (R5) FW access ethernet?

This would have to be done using some sort of IPC mechanism between A72 and R5. We do not have a out-of-box demo/example for this currently.

Do we have internal virtual networking interface which can bridge "main domain and mcu domain" networking even each one of them do not have real pin out?

    This does not exist.
