AM623: Question about CAN-FD I/F

Could you answer the following questions?

1. Is the CAN  transceiver necessary when using the CAN-FD interface?

※According to schematics of Evaluation kit for AM623/625,there is not CAN transceiver in CAN-FD line.

2.If the CAN transceiver is necessary,could you tell me recommended CAN transceiver for AM623?
