CCSTUDIO: whats the difference between the armllvm and tiarmclang compilers

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Tool/software:

Can you tell us what the difference is between the ti_cgt_tiarmclang and the ti-cgt-armllvm compilers?

Our projects have been using the ti_cgt_tiarmclang compilers and now it looks like only the ti-cgt-armllvm compilers are available for downloading.

We are moving a project from 2.1.3 to 3.2.0 and it looks like some people have the ti_cgt_tiarmclang and others can only find ti-cgt-armllvm to install.

If there is a big difference, where can we find the ti_cgt_tiarmclang versions to download?

I'm sure they are the same compiler.  The name ti-cgt-armllvm comes from the name of the directory usually used when installing the compiler.  For example ti-cgt-armllvm_4.0.1.LTS.  I'm not sure where the name ti_cgt_tiarmclang comes from.  I see it used in this forum thread.  It appears that customer first sees that name in an error diagnostic issued by Code Composer Studio.  I don't know why that diagnostic uses that particular spelling for the name of the compiler.

    Thanks and regards,
