TMS320F206: Peoper setup for reading and debugging TMS320F206

Part Number: TMS320C206

Tool/software:

Hi, I need to read flash content of TMS320F206, and also being able to debug as a second priority need.

Yes I know it is deeply-EOL...

As I understand from other questions in this forum I will be able to do what I want using Code-Composer (not studio) V4.10 as my chip is one of C2X family.

I already have XDS510-USB.

I saw many related questions in the forum of course but they all ended up with "chat me privately and I'll send you what you need".

Thanks!

Tej.

  • Hello,

The old CC tools still require a license. Did you (or your organization) have a license in the past?

    I already have XDS510-USB.

XDS510USB does not support F20x. You need to use the XDS510PP. Something like:

    Thanks

  • My customer had a proper setup back in the past, so I believe that after a deep lookup he will find his licence somewhere.

If not, is there anyway to still buy it?

I'd like to get the program of course, how can you send it to me?

About the XDS, thanks for directing me to the relevent tool. Hope I could really order a working one.

Is the customer willing to officially transfer the license to you?

If not, is there anyway to still buy it?

Yes, it is still possible. Please start a private E2E conversation with me.

I'd like to get the program of course, how can you send it to me?

Once you have a licence (whether transferred or purchased), I can provide you with a temporary download link.

It could be challenging. The XDS510PP was obsoleted long ago and the company that made the majority of them are no longer in business (Spectrum Digital). You may want to make sure you can acquire an XDS510PP before thinking of purchasing a license for Code Composer.

Also note all these tools are very old, completely obsolete, and completely unsupported. If you run into any issues we will not be able to provide much (if any) help.

  • I started a private chat but didn't get an answer so far.

Is it possible that something went wrong with my friendship request?

    Thanks!

  • Sorry for the delay. I have responded to your private message.
