Hi,
Can we use the WKUP_UART for Uniflash for TDA4VE-Q1. Currently, we have only WKUP_UART. MCU_UART is always allocated to Vision SOC

Thanks-Arum

Hi Arum,
Although the default is MCU_UART, you can perform Uniflash boot with WKUP_UART as well.
Look at the follow FAQ for more information: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1109996/faq-tda4vm-how-to-boot-using-wkup-uart
This FAQ is for SBL, however, you can make the modifications in Uniflash in UFP_socInit API at <PDK_INSTALL_PATH>/board/utils/uniflash/target/soc/k3/soc.c
Thanks,
Neehar
Hi Neehar,
I spoke with Arum. He wanted to know if Uniflash can be configured for WKUP_UART to write to the flash device. booting will be over OSPI.
Hi Daviel,
Sorry I had made a typo in my previous response and I have updated it.
Although the title of the FAQ says booting with WKUP UART, you will have make similar changes to update the SBL boot but the changes will have to be applied in UFP_socInit() API.
Thanks,
Neehar
Hi Neehar,
As of now yes. I will be implementing this change in the upcoming days. I will open a new ticket as needed.
Thanks
