LP-AM263P: Encoder EM1 Configuration Issues in AM263x

Dear TI Team,

I am trying to configure my encoder (EM1) in universal_motorcontrol_am263x_r5fss0-0_nortos_ti-arm-clang_3phGaN, but I have not been successful.

I am encountering two issues:

  1. After modifying the AM263_3phGaN_3SC.syscfg file to change the maximum position from 4,000 to 40,000 and setting "reset in maximum" to "reset in index," the changes appear to be saved in the file. However, even after rebuilding, the maximum counter remains at 4,000, and "reset in index" is not applied.

  2. The position resets on every timer interrupt. What could be causing this? If I move the encoder very quickly, the position jumps to 3 or 3,997 (clockwise) before resetting to zero again. After several minutes the timer stop resetting the position again. 

I want to note that EM1 works fine with the F280025C without any issues.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
