Problem to interface a 12.1" display kit with the OMAP-L138

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Hi,

I use an OMAP-L138 experimenter kit and I would to connect a 12.1” display kit (from logicPD) to interface a LCD TFT Sharp LQ121S1DG41.

I have the settings from logicPD's bootloader for this 12.1" SVGA Sharp display kit. But how to integrate them into the L138 software eXperimenter kit ?

The settings are :

Name:           SVGA2

DISPC_CONTROL  (0x48050440): 0x00018128

Thanks for your help

  • Eric,

I thought the experimenter kit has a sample testcase already. I guess I am mistaken.

Please use the lcd_graphics testcase under the evm directory as a starting point. have a look at the evmc6748_lcd_raster.c for more reference on how to change this.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

    regards,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

    thanks for your help.

I have checked the evmc6748_lcd_raster.c but the 12" dipslay is not present (only 3.6", 4.3" and 6.4"). But I think, it's not the good solution for me to use the dsp part (because in my application the DSP is useful for signal processing with ARM communication via dsplink).

I would like that the linux kernel drives the 12" display. I have seen into the file ~/ti-dvsdk_omapl138-evm_4_01_00_09/psp/linux-2.6-33-rc4-psp03.20.00.14/drivers/video/Kconfig the definition of SHARP_LQ121S1DG41. But how to activate it ?

    Thanks

    Best regards

    Eric

  • Eric,

I am moving this to the Linux forum for more support.
