Hello,

1)Do TI have or plan to have Hardware face recognition module in follow DSPs:

tms320dm814x
tms320dm816x
tms320c6a816x

2) Is it possible to get or to buy Face Recognition module same (or better) as in TMS320DM368ZCE*F*?

Hi Alexey,

The face recognition HW is avail in DM814x and DM816x but the SW is not in development yet. But, we do have demo on the C674x thought.

Is there an update on this topic? I'm considering updating my DM368 products to the DM8168, but I need the face recognition available on the DM368*F*. Is there a document outlining the analytics capabilities of the DM8168? Thanks...

I believe FD is available as part of DM81xx RDK 3.5. Please check the availability of RDK with your TI sales rep.

Thank you for the reply Renjith. I ordered another Appro DM368 camera so I could move forward, but I'd still like to move to the newer chips, and then on to 4K. My issue seems to be getting my new TI sales rep to contact me, or even find out who he / she is. My Irvine, CA USA sale rep left the company, and I have NEVER heard from the new person. My expected volume for this project is 400K - 600K units, so I hope that's enough to get someone's attention. Anything ANYONE on this site can do to get me in touch with my new sales rep would be GREATLY appreciated. I've contacted Andrea Hutchinson a couple of times, but never from the new sales rep...

Hi Raghu,

Thank you for the follow-up. I just got my new IPNC with a DM368 "F" processor a few days ago. The face detection works with the firmware that came with the IPNC. I had a non "F" processor before then. I had version 5.0 of the RDK before that, and I was able to download version 5.1 today. However, I have STILL never heard from my new TI sales person or FAE. I know I need to move to the DM814x (or whatever's coming next), so I hope to hear from a sales person soon...

Hi Raghu,

The release notes for SDK v5.1 indicate that the face recognition module has been removed, and to contact TI Sales to obtain this module. My application requires face detection AND face recognition. How can I obtain the face recognition module?

John,

To get these modules you need to contact your TI sales or FAE and get access enabled in TI's " my registered software" site and get the donwload permission.

Then, you need to get these modules and add it in your codebase.

PLease set "FACE_RECOG_MODE := ON" in Rules.Make once you add these and want to use this in the build
