CC2530 Flashing issue

Please share the command sequence to read ChipID and IEEE of CC2530 from Linux.

we have 3 GPIO lines (Reset, Clock @P2_2 and Data @P2_1) connected with CC2530 for the same, please send the complete sequence.

Is your timing according to this for reset and the other signals?
Are you using level shifters between CC2530 and AM1808?

Please be aware that on the AM1808, DVDD_A, DVDD_B, & DVDD_C I/O supply rails can independently run at either 1.8V or 3.3V.
Which AM1808 GPIOs are you using for the connection to the CC2530?

For the DM6446, which Linux PSP version are you using? The latest DM6446 Linux PSP version is 3.01.00.37 which uses Linux kernel 2.6.32-rc1.

There may be incompatibilities between kernel 2.6.38 and the PSP.

Yes I am following the same pdf only.

As per doc I have given 2 clock cycle when reset is low and then put reset high. then after I am sending 0x68 cmd with clock (to read chip ID) and then after try to read data line but Data line always stay high.

Timings are also fine as per datasheet.

There is no level shifter on board.

We are using GPIO2_7 for reset, GPIO6_12 for Data and GPIO_6_13 for clock.

Mark, we are using u-boot-1.2.0 and DVFlasher_1_12.exe.

One more observation I have seen:

I am taking attached "3580.attachment.zip" IAR code as a reference for application.

If I am using CC2530 SmartRF05EVM board and test this application everything works fine.

Also if I use DM6446 device then also everything works fine.

But If I am using AM1808 board then this application hangs at

 // Wait for data to be ready
  while (P0 & 0x01) {
    read_debug_byte();
  }

Strange thing is same AM1808 device works fine in Smart RF flash Programmer.

Can you please help me what can be an issue here ?

Is there a timing related issue ?

Hi,

I am able to successfully erase the chip now from AM1808 Linux application.

But still facing issues with flashing the hex file.

I am using "program_flash" function for it as given in 3580.attachment.zip IAR code.

Please send a code flow (with timings), which is used by RF programmer to flash/erase/read IEEE of CC2530.
Taking that as a reference, I would like to port Linux application.

Ok,  it works now.

What I can see is After erase I have to give complete reset cycle again before start flashing.

If I do erase, read chipID and in a next step if I do Flashing it fails, but instead I do erase, readChipID and give reset and flashing it works.
