Our customer is planning to use Android on DM816x.

We have a basic question,

what could be the merits/demerits of using Android over Linux.

A search of "Android versus Linux" on the internet will yield some basic information comparing the two. The links mentioned for git repositories etc seem to be obsolete? Can you please mention, where can i download latest android repo for TI81xx.

Hi ,

I am following the links mentioned at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI-Android-GingerBread-2.3-DevKit-2.0_DeveloperGuide but I have a slightly different hardware TMDSIPCAM8127J3 from APPRO. when i am using the prebuilt binary using the steps given, kernel is not booting., Does anybody have any idea, how differently I have to pass the bootargs here.
