Hello,

I am planning to use the Microchip's LAN8742Ai-CZ Ethernet Phy. Is driver support available for AM62x for this particular Phy IC. if yes, can you please provide the SDK link and driver details?

    Hi,

    If the OS that is planned to be used is Linux and Microchip has integrated with mainline then the support will be in the TI Linux SDK. 

    The Linux kernel configuration would probably need to enabled to support the PHY you are referencing. TI cannot comment on the driver as this is a Microchip product. To verify what I have said I would recommend contacting Microchip and ask if the driver has been integrated into mainline Linux.

    Another way to state this explanation is that if the Microchip driver is in the kernel source and the user enables support for the PHY in the kernel configuration then when the user builds the Linux kernel from the TI SDK the Microchip driver would be built into the Linux kernel
