Hello,

Does the RTOS SDK include any examples demonstrating a use case of the peripheral firewall?

Additionally, could you provide any relevant links with more information on this firewall?

I came across this one, but it does not seem to mention it::

Hi,

Peripheral firewall are slave firewall placed in front of peripheral.

You can refer to these documentation to get the better understanding on firewall.

You can also look at the Interconnect Firewall section of the TRM.

Is there a specific TISCI request to configure a "Peripheral Firewall" or no ?

Additionally, is there an implementation of the Peripheral Firewall in the SDK?

The only related helpers I could find are in this following file :
ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4-evm-10_01_00_04/pdk_j784s4_10_01_00_25/packages/ti/drv/sciclient/src/sciclient/sciclient_firewall.c

Should one simply use these helpers and develop a wrapper to confire a Peripheral Firewall (for UART, SPI and so forth)?

using TISCI_MSG_SET_FWL_REGION API you will configure both master as well as slave firewall. No special TISCI API is there for peripheral firewall.

If you look at the SBL code there are places where we are opeing the firewall. For example in sbl_main.c we are calling function SBL_OpenFirewalls()

which will open the firewall for OCMC memory (firewall id 1050) which is slave firewall.

These are the wrapper function which will eventually send TISCI MSG to TIFS running on M4_0 core.
