Can I insert GIF file in edgeai-gst-apps/scripts/setup_wallpaper.sh

BG_IMAGE=$OOB_DEMO_ASSETS_PATH/wallpaper.jpg  -> BG_IMAGE=$OOB_DEMO_ASSETS_PATH/wallpaper.gif

Can I add a splash image or GIF to display during board boot-up?

Hi,

I believe weston only supports static images (background-image needs to be configured in weston.ini).

How can I locate splash screen on first boot that has text "Texas Instruments" and a progress bar.

I don't need edgeai-gui-app anymore. Could you please give me the step to remove edgeai-gui-app.

To remove the edgeai-gui-app, you can disable the service:

systemctl disable edgeai-init

This will prevent the service from starting at boot. You may also see a blank grey screen -- this is from the 'weston' service that you can similarly disable that, or use Krunal's advice to change the background image.

For a general topic (i.e. not TI specific) like this, I will point you back to the wealth of Linux resources online. You're effectively looking to add signal-handling such that a continually running process can detect something like KB-interrupt and then run a process / system command that stops the service.
