CCSTUDIO: New workspace from scratch in CCS20

Hello,

Is there a way to make a new workspace in CCS20?

I see options for workspace from file (which how do you make a workspace specification file)

Or the option to save a current workspace as a new one, but often times it's handy to be able to have a new blank workspace.

Hello Munan,

The "Open Folder" option under "File" will allow you to switch to a different (or new) workspace folder.

Sounds strange because workspace s a file, not a folder

A workspace is technically a folder:

There is a workspace file that is used for multi-root workspace environments:

Folder and files are filesystem-related concepts. The standard for the most IDEs are project (a collection of folders and files sharing the same settings and eventually a single output or result) and workspace (a collection of projects). That's the most common model of existing IDEs. CCS is confusing this for no clear (at least to me) reason.

CCS 20 is based on the Theia IDE, which in turn is based on VS Code. Hence our workspace concept is derived from how VS Code works:
