AM62A7: Clarification on TRNG Support and Entropy Requirements for AM62A7 HSM

Hello TI Experts,

We need clarification on the HSM’s TRNG capabilities regarding our customer’s requirement:

TRNG (Service 27) must provide ≥7.5 bits/character entropy in a 20MB sample.

Questions:

Does the TRNG module on AM62A meet the requirement above?
Can HSM and OP-TEE use TRNG simultaneously?
If not, are there workarounds?

TRNG functionality is critical for our project. Please provide prompt guidance.

Dear Mr. yang,

TRNG module compliance with NIST.SP.800-90 spec.

To the second question, checked the low level TRNG module, when a TRNG number is ready, an interrupt will be triggered, it will spread to SOC, ideally, register the interrupt handle before request. After getting the TRNG number, then disable the interrupt. I am not sure the OP-TEE can handle such interrupt or just polling the result.
