I am transmitting 8 bytes fixed message using python script with delay(10ms) in loop of 10. baudrate is 9600 at both end. and my timeout value is 39.

I am getting IIR[5-0] as 1100 (RX timeout) only after loop is completed.

also, can you correct me if my timeout value is correct? I have considered it as 39/9600 , 0.00406 seconds

we have figured out the issue for latency caused at PC end. still I will need your help to understand TIMEOUT register setting, how to calculate it as per baud rate?

Hi Bin Liu,

But I want to change the value apart from default, I want to know how what exactly is units when we say baud cycles for TMIEOUT register. 

1 unit of the register value is 1 baud cycle.
